I’m Diego Romero, the founder of Deepflow Labs. I spent my first career behind mixing consoles as a musician and sound engineer before switching paths in 2014, enrolling in Makers Academy, Europe’s first coding bootcamp. By day I worked as a junior developer; by night I finished a formal Computer Science program in London.

My work and studies have since taken me to London, Madrid, Byron Bay, Guatemala City, and New York, giving me a front-row seat to a wide range of technical and human challenges. I’ve also had the privilege of teaching part-time at BrainStation London, mentoring the next generation of software engineers.

Over the past decade I’ve contributed at every scale, from five-person start-ups to venture-backed spin-ups inside larger companies such as Snapchat and The Trade Desk. Along the way I’ve shipped production code at Chirp (acquired by Sonos), Capital One, Snapchat, The Trade Desk, and several early-stage ventures.
